Dandruff :What It Is & Why You Get It |100% Safest Treatment For Dandruff :Dr MADHURI|Vardhanayurveda

Dandruff is due to the extreme exfoliating of dead skin cells from the Scalp. It is also known as scurf.  As it is common for skin cells to die and flake off, a small amount of flaking is normal and quite general. Some people, however, either chronically or as a consequence of specific triggers, encounter an unusually large amount of flaking, which can also be followed by redness and irritation. Dandruff rarely causes hair loss or baldness. However, severe seborrheic dermatitis may cause patchy baldness.

Excessive flaking can also be a symptom of Seborrhoeic Dermatitis, Psoriasis, Fungal Infections or excoriation associated with infestation of head lice. Although dandruff isn’t contagious and is rarely severe, it can be embarrassing and sometimes difficult to treat.
